Printer settings for making the ColorMunki work (on a Mac)

Due to popular demand

I’ve had a few requests from ColorMunki users, that I would please post how I made my ColorMunki properly create good, solid printer profiles. So, here I go.

Printer profiling with the X-Rite ColorMunki is easy… When you know how. At least that was my experience. I had to do more than 40+ test prints and targets, in order to finally figure put what was wrong.

The keyword is ColorSync. At least in my case. I have a Canon iP4300 printer.

That naturally implies that the following only applies to Mac user, not Windows users, since ColorSync is Windows only. I dunno whether or not some of the advice is applicable to Windows users as well.

It makes most sense for me to record a screencast showing what I did, as well as commenting on why I did what I did. So here goes, enjoy;-)
